Growing in Patience
Colossians 3:12
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;

Patience is not simply waiting; it is waiting with a right spirit. We often tolerate inconvenience outwardly while inwardly simmering with frustration. But Christlike patience is marked by gentleness, restraint, and long-suffering love.
God has been extraordinarily patient with us. He has not treated us as our sins deserve. Remembering His patience softens our hearts toward others. When we grasp how much grace we have received, we become slower to anger and quicker to forgive.
Patience grows when we surrender our demand for immediate results. People change slowly. Circumstances improve gradually. Sanctification itself is a lifelong process. God is patient with us — and He invites us to extend that same grace outward.
Growing in Christlike character means learning to endure inconvenience without losing love.
