Growing in Love
1 Corinthians 13:4–7
Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.

Love is the defining mark of Christlike character. It is patient, kind, and enduring. It does not envy, boast, or insist on its own way. This description challenges every self-centered instinct within us.
Love is more than emotion; it is action rooted in commitment. It chooses forgiveness when hurt. It chooses generosity when tempted to withhold. It chooses endurance when walking away feels easier.
We cannot manufacture this kind of love on our own. It flows from understanding how deeply we are loved by God. As His love reshapes our hearts, we begin to reflect it in our relationships.
Growing in Christlike character ultimately means growing in love — toward God and toward others.

Pray
Ask God to deepen your understanding of His love for you. Pray that His love would overflow into your relationships, shaping your words, attitudes, and actions.
