Persistent Prayer
Luke 18:1
He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray and not give up,

Jesus told the parable of the persistent widow to teach a simple but challenging truth: do not stop praying. The widow kept coming because she believed her cause was just and the judge could act. How much more should we persist in prayer before a God who is perfectly just and deeply compassionate?
We lose heart in prayer when we confuse God’s timing with His indifference. Unanswered prayer does not mean unheard prayer. God is not slow in the way we fear. He is patient, purposeful, and sovereign over outcomes we cannot yet see.
Persistence in prayer is not about wearing God down. It is about shaping our hearts. The longer we pray, the more our desires are refined. We begin to want what God wants. We learn to trust His wisdom more than our urgency.
Prayer is not a vending machine. It is a relationship. And like any relationship, it deepens through consistent, honest communication over time.

Return to a prayer you have abandoned or grown weary of. Bring it before God again, trusting His timing and His wisdom. Ask Him to strengthen your resolve to keep praying.
