Seek First the Kingdom
Matthew 6:33–34
But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

Jesus does not tell us to ignore our needs. He tells us to reorder our priorities. Seek first the kingdom of God. Not seek only the kingdom of God, as though earthly responsibilities do not matter. But seek first—make God's reign and God's righteousness the organizing principle of your life, and trust that everything else will find its proper place.
This is profoundly practical. Most of our anxiety comes not from actual crises but from trying to manage tomorrow before it arrives. We rehearse conversations that have not happened, solve problems that do not yet exist, and grieve losses that may never come. Jesus says: stop. Tomorrow will have its own concerns. Today has enough.
The promise attached to this command is extraordinary: all these things will be added to you. God does not promise luxury, but He does promise provision. He does not guarantee the absence of difficulty, but He guarantees His presence within it. When we make His kingdom our first priority, we discover that He has been taking care of the details all along.
Seeking the kingdom first is not a one-time decision. It is a daily reorientation—a choice made fresh every morning to put God's purposes ahead of our worries, God's righteousness ahead of our comfort, and God's timing ahead of our impatience. It is the most freeing decision you will ever make, because it releases you from the burden of being your own provider and protector.

Pray
Ask God to help you seek His kingdom above all other things today. Surrender your worries about tomorrow to Him, and trust that He will provide what you need when you need it. Pray for the faith to believe His promise and the courage to reorder your priorities.
