Unity in Christ
Ephesians 4:3

Unity does not happen by accident. Paul tells believers to be eager to maintain it. The word "eager" implies effort, urgency, and intention. Unity is not a passive condition; it is an active pursuit.
The church is made up of people with different backgrounds, personalities, preferences, and perspectives. These differences are not obstacles to unity; they are the context in which unity becomes meaningful. It is easy to get along with people who are exactly like us. It takes the Spirit to love people who are not.
Unity does not mean uniformity. It does not require everyone to think the same way about every matter of opinion. But it does require that we value peace, practice humility, and prioritize the bond we share in Christ over personal preferences.
When we pursue unity, we reflect the character of God. A divided church dishonors Christ. A church that fights for peace and practices patience in disagreement shows the world something it cannot produce on its own.

Pray
Ask God to give you a heart that values unity. Pray for humility to set aside preferences for the sake of peace, and for wisdom to discern between matters of faith and matters of opinion.
