A Future Without Tears
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
World English Bible
The Bible ends with a promise that reshapes every trial we face. One day, God will wipe away every tear. Pain, mourning, and death will not have the final word. Suffering is real, but it is not eternal.
Hope in this promise does not make us indifferent to pain; it gives us courage to endure it. Every hardship we face now exists within a larger story that ends in restoration. God is moving history toward a day when brokenness is undone and joy is complete.
Trusting God in trials means believing that the story is not finished yet. The God who promises a future without tears is the same God who walks with us through present sorrow.
Our tears are temporary. His promises are forever.
Reflect
- How does the promise of a tearless future change how I view present suffering?
- What trial in my life do I need to place in the light of eternity?
- Do I believe God’s final restoration is more certain than my current pain?
Pray
Thank God for the hope of a future where suffering ends. Ask Him to help you endure present trials with confidence in His promise of ultimate restoration.
